Case Study 1: Emulsification of melted mastic on concrete

A fire had burned all of the tile, flooring and mastic into the pores of the concrete in the old Federal Reserve Building in Downtown Los Angeles. Nothing the building owner did would remove the mastic from the existing concrete. There was 220,000 sq. feet of melted mastic in the concrete.

We were called into the situation to test LIKE NEW GOLD All-Purpose cleaner for concrete on the floor. We pretreated the concrete for 30 minutes in a 1000 sq. ft area for demonstration. After 30 minutes we used our utility patented LIKE NEW SYSTEM on the pretreated area. Within one (1) hour the mastic was emulsified and vacuumed into a 55 gallon drum. The surface was profiled to be able to apply an over coat and a stain on the floor.

Case Study 2: Double layers of mastic on a printing room floor

A printing business was just purchased. The new owner desired new flooring and an even surface. After removing the existing carpet, it was discovered there was two (2) layers of mastic that were over 15 years old. The original mastic surface was not removed prior to the second coating of mastic for the floor that was replaced 8 years after the original surface and had been down some 7 years. Like New Gold was used the night before the project was to begin for an overnight pretreatment. A 1/4 inch float of water was used and then LIKE NEW GOLD all purpose cleaner was applied topically. The project began the next day using the LIKE NEW GOLD utility system. The 2 layers of mastic emulsified almost instantly with the addition of extra water and GOLD formula as released from the scrubber. The mastic was scooped up from the ticker areas and the lesser areas were vacuumed using a heavy duty wet-dry vacuum. The floor was then scrubbed again after all the mastic was removed with plain water and re-vacuumed to make the concrete floor free of any contaminants that would create a bond breaker for the new flooring. Case Study 3: Restaurant

A Restaurant In North San Diego County California offers fresh fish for take out purposes. While waiting for lunch a pungent smell could be noticed emanating from the case itself. It was though the fish was not fresh that was for sale. LIKE NEW GOLD was offered to the management to clean the case and get rid of the pungent odor. The next morning the case was cleaned by restaurant staff at approximately at 7:30 am. The staff could see instantaneously the odors were eradicated. When the first customers came into the restaurant, comments were made about the fresh smelling fish.

Case Study 4: Gas Station

At a gas station a large fuel spill had occurred due to a customer leaving the hose in her gas tank receptacle to the vehicle. When the customer pulled away after paying, gasoline spilled everywhere on the concrete and the management and customers began to panic due to fear of fire or explosion. The electrical circuit was immediately turned off and luckily I was there to fuel the LIKE NEW Van. I had a large Hudson Sprayer filled with the GOLD Formula in the back of the van. The LIKE NEW GOLD Formula was applied to the fuel spill. The GOLD Formula immediately reduced the heavy gas vapors and you could watch the GOLD Formula emulsify the liquid gasoline without any agitation. Within Minutes the pooled fuel turned color to an opaque grayish cloudy liquid. The sample of the emulsified gasoline was recovered. I attempted to strike it with a match. The gas would not reignite. The balance of the fuel was washed away with water by the local Fire Department.

Case Study 5: Mechanic

A mechanic was having his 9th wedding anniversary that evening. I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing. The lead mechanic and manager was the only one left at this Good Year Tire Store and I needed an oil change so I could drive out of town on a presentation for LIKE NEW GOLD. The manager was reluctant, but he serviced my car if I kept my promise to clean his hands better than gasoline, Tide Detergent and Bleach. I prepared a solution of the LIKE NEW GOLD Hand Cleaner. Case Study 6: Mold Problem

A Commercial property became infested with Stachybotrys Mold and tenants became ill from the heavy amount of spores being emitted into the occupied space. Three Estimates were obtained by the property owner, all in excess of $17,500. The walls had to be removed to expose the heavy mold behind the insulation. Once removed, it was discovered the insulation was no longer pink in color but literally black. The mold infested insulation was removed and disposed of properly. LIKE NEW GOLD for MOLD was fogged into the room and the ventilation ducts. Additionally, the MOLD FORMULA was sprayed onto the mold directly. Thirty (30) minutes after fogging the room and the ventilation system the MOLD FORMULA was again applied onto the mold directly through a Hudson Sprayer. The mold literally ran down the wall and was washed off with a scrub brush. The area was allowed to dry for 4 hours. A mold inspector was called in to take the readings for additional airborne spores and for any residue le ft behind from the cleaning. Two (2) days later the results were returned that there was no viable spores on the wall or viable airborne spores in the room what-so-ever. The project was calculated to take 10 calendar days by the previous contractor(s). The project was completed within 3.5 days saving the property owner over $10,000 in actual costs(Wall Restoration included).
